Case Study: Bonds pop-up stores
29 April 2011

Environmentally friendly materials, custom design, simultaneous assembly and launch in 6 locations.

THE BRIEF

BONDS brief was to design, produce, transport and simultaneously install 6 Bonds “Pop-Up stores” within Myer stores across Australia from an environmentally responsible substrate.

THE SOLUTION

Working with the Bonds Visual Merchandising Manager and their architect, Craftech designed a pigeon-hole style shelving unit, display table, signage block, hanging rail and display plinth to be made from 16mm X-Board Kraft. Products were prototyped and presented to all stakeholders to ensure they adhered to brand guidelines and strict OH&S regulations. After slight modifications the project was approved.

In keeping with the look and feel of the campaign, minimal graphics were used and were created by cutting only the top layer of X-Board to reveal the raw core of the product. Some of the structures were created by stacking X-Board on top of each other, others were created to flat pack, notch together and then be fastened using specialised screws.

Craftech managed the distribution and install of all products across Australia through our team of authorised installers.
